Diving and snorkeling underwater paradise
The barrier reefs off the beaches of Green Turtle Cay and neighboring cays offer some of the Caribbean’s finest diving experiences. We highly recommend bringing your own mask, snorkel, and fins; however, these can also be rented, along with wetsuits, tanks, regulators, and other diving equipment, from Brendal’s Dive Center. At Brendal’s, you can also sign up for escorted dives and various aquatic expeditions.
Fishing
Green Turtle Cay is nothing short of a sportfishing paradise. The flats around the island and nearby cays host schools of very large bonefish, the extensive barrier reefs just a few hundred yards from shore provide dependable fishing for grouper, snapper and barracuda, and the blue water fishing beyond the reefs is famous for wahoo, tuna, mahi and billfish. Visiting anglers can choose between hiring local guides, renting a boat or fishing the bonefish flats accessible on foot.
